The series of photographies entitled fleurs liquides rgathers image of vegetable ink rounds. Native or introduced, the most abundant varieties of wildflowers shape the landscape. To create the inks, Mélissa has picked wild roses, epiliobes, golden rod and St. John’s wort in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, in the Gaspé Peninsula. She then experimented with them without concern for conservation, letting the matter transform. Dropped on watercolor paper, the inks dried revealing their own geography.
