fleurs liquides

5×7.5″ 50 pages fleurs liquides, is a photographic book that groups images of round vegetable inks. Native or introduced, the most abundant varieties of wild flowers shape the landscape. To create the inks, Mélissa has picked wild roses, epilobes, golden rod and millet in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, in the Gaspé Peninsula. She then experimented with them without concern for conservation, allowing the material to transform. Dropped on watercolor paper, the inks dried and revealed their own geography.
