Chassez les fantômes
The exhibition Chasser les fantômes brings together a body of work created by artist duo Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc-Barbedienne. Through a combination of paintings and paper cut-outs, the artists invite us to explore the subtleties of perception and memory. The title of the exhibition evokes this delicate quest: to capture the elusive, to pursue the traces of what escapes us, the images or memories that haunt our imagination.
Since 2015, Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc-Barbedienne have formed a duo where the literary and artistic influences of one mingle with the visual culture of the other. Diane develops a theoretical and plastic research work around the encounter as a generator of forms. For his part, Jérémie integrates a strong iconographic culture. This encounter gave rise to a four-handed collaboration using cut-out paper. In the exhibition space or the public arena, the colorful compositions unfold and unfold through different media: editions, collages, paintings, modular works and frescoes.
→ Opening 🥂: Thursday March 13, 5:30 pm to 9 pm

The Chasser les fantômes exhibition is integrated into the urban itinerary of the Festival Art Souterrain satellite program, from March 15 to April 26, 2025.
This edition transforms the underground to create a new habitat: How do we define habitat? Is it the buildings we create? Or the spaces where we come together and build trust? The 17th edition of the Festival Art Souterrain is an opportunity to explore our relationship to intimate life and the way we inhabit a world undergoing profound transformation.
