Zacsteen

Zacsteen (°1994, Tiohtà:ke I Montréal) is a self-taught photographer experimenting with several distinct styles. His works appear as dreamlike images where fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes blur, meanings shift, blending the past and the present. Time, memory, and space always play a key role in his explorations, reconsidering these concepts while nostalgically exploring landscapes.
His works are presented not to provide an idealistic view, but to try to understand and identify the elements around us, presenting the energy and emotional and spiritual vibrations of a place in a more appropriate manner. He particularly enjoys collaborating with other artists on his works, bringing another dimension to his work, encouraging them to reconsider and reinterpret their world.
Through his Alter Ego Igor Zigor, he allows himself to play and construct his own frames for these works, using wood from his own land, taking his work to another level.
