Born in 1984, Myriam Tousignant is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice revolves mainly around printmaking and poetry. With a Master’s degree in visual arts, she has been active in the artistic milieu for over
fifteen years, dividing her time between creation and her commitment as a cultural worker.

Her work has been shown in several group and solo exhibitions in Quebec, including Maskipêche, a solo exhibition at Centre Presse Papier (Trois-Rivières), Galerie Vincent-D’Indy (Boucherville) and Centre d’exposition du Vieux Presbytère (Saint-Bruno). In 2022, she participated
in the group show JE/US, organized by the artist-run center Agrégat, where she presented the poetic installation Pour beaucoup d’obscurité, quelques éclats, addressing the theme of perinatal mourning. In 2023, she continued this body of work at
Projet Interventions Poétiques à Longueuil, which led to the creation of an artist’s book.

Her work can be found in public and private collections, including those of the cities of Longueuil and Montreal, as well as the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ).
