Kuessipan – Myriam Verreault, 2019

“I portrayed the reunion of the two native heroines in the film (adapted from Naomi Fontaine’s novel). The scene takes place on the Uashat-Maliotenam Innu reserve in Sept-Îles (Quebec’s North Shore region). For the colors, I drew inspiration from a Quebec painter I discovered in Montreal (Clarence Alphonse Gagnon).” – Clément Thoby
