Winter Camp: Satire in Art — Fernando Botero
Satire in art at Livart!
To end the year, Livart is back with its winter camps, inspired by the fun theme of satire in art!
This time, there’s a new day-long format, ideal for families who want to choose their own pace.
Each day, children will follow in the footsteps of an artist through:
– A creative workshop (4 hours of art in the morning and afternoon)
– Games and activities in our large hall
– Cultural mediation around the artist of the day
They will leave each day with their original work, proud of their discoveries and creations!
With our « à la carte » formula, you can choose one or more days, each offering a unique artistic approach: photography, painting, sculpture, collage…
It’s a perfect opportunity to explore famous artists such as Botero, or rediscover forgotten figures such as Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, while having fun
and learning.
Wednesday, 31 December — Fernando Botero: Between painting and caricature
On this day, children will discover the humorous and unique world of Fernando Botero, a Colombian painter famous for his exaggerated figures and recognisable style.
During the workshop, children will experiment with caricature and the distortion of shapes through drawing and painting, drawing inspiration from Botero’s sense of humour and characteristic proportions.
Cultural mediation will accompany the workshop to explore Botero’s world and show how satire can be an original way to create.
Children will leave with an original creation that reflects their imagination and artistic sense of humour!
