Thierrrrrrrrry
Graduating in Television Production and Digital Arts, Thierrrrrrrrry focuses his artistic practice on photography and video. For several years now, Thierrrrrrrrry has been reflecting on and experimenting with photography with the aim of creating his own visual language. His exploration primarily revolves around the materiality of light and the physicality of the medium. With these two areas of research, he deconstructs photography and excludes cameras from the process to create new images. His work delves into how experiences accumulate within us, leaving invisible traces that shape our being, like sedimentary layers. Each piece in this series is a reflection of this slow and imperceptible process, where time becomes the main creator.
He immerses his Polaroids in a bath of polluted water, allowing them to succumb to the slowness of evaporation. The water evaporates, and what remains are these silent layers of sediment, like memories deposited over the years. This process takes place outside any reaction to light, a deliberate detachment from traditional photography in favor of something more intimate, more organic.
Thus, his works reveal this almost imperceptible accumulation of layers, evoking the way our experiences intertwine, overlap, without ever completely disappearing. Every trace, every color, is an echo of a past moment, a buried emotion, that resurfaces with the quiet force of time. The work then becomes a metaphor for memory; a materialization of how time gently transforms us, leaving invisible but indelible marks on us.
