Guided tour
Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM
Free (by reservation)
This guided tour is offered by the artists of the exhibition and invites you to explore Ruban, clochette, émeraude, timbre.
Ruban, clochette, émeraude, timbre brings together works by Émilie Allard, Ioana Dragomir, Christy Kunitzky, Laurel Rennie, and Kuh Del Rosario, which reflect on our relationship to objects in an increasingly intangible world disconnected from material experience.
As images and data replace objects, the meaning of those objects diminishes; they surround us, yet our connection to them erodes. Images and data circulate rapidly, replacing direct, embodied encounters with things. Meaning is not lost because objects disappear, but because attention disappears.
The exhibition examines the replacement of objects by information, our fragile relationship with the physical world, and how this affects our status as individuals. We live amid a massive accumulation of objects, where precious resources are extracted from the earth to create items that quickly lose all value. How can we define our relationships with them as they continue to accumulate and lose their meaning? What is preserved, what is lost, and who decides?
The exhibition and its program of activities are part of the 3rd edition of the Forum of Emerging Visual Arts (FAVE) 2026 🎨. Discover all Forum activities here.
