After-school activities at Livart – Fall 2023
Livart organizes after-school activity sessions that explore different artistic movements and mediums. The sessions take place over 10 classes. Offered to children aged 7 to 10 on Wednesdays in the Livart workshop.
Course of the workshop :
4:15-4:45pm: Cultural mediation on the art movement of the day.
16h45-17h30 : Creation workshop and exploration of a medium
Art and nature – Unleash your inner artist
In this session, children will have the chance to discover art from a natural angle. We’ll be looking at artistic practices that place nature and animals at the heart of their creations, by studying world-renowned artists. Outdoor sessions are also available.
Examples of workshop topics:
- The practice of Robert Smithson and Land Art: a key figure in nature art, Smithson uses nature as a material for artistic creation.
- La pratique de Rosa Bonheur et le sujet animalier : cette peintre femme a su faire sa place dans un milieu d’homme grâce à sa peinture animalière emblématique de sa pratique.
- The practices ofUncommon Common Art: a Canadian exhibition of public installations in the Nova Scotia countryside.

Schedules: Wednesdays from October 4 to December 6, from 4.15pm to 5.30pm at Le Livart.
