Livart, a non-profit organization whose mission is to democratize access to art and culture, occupies a former presbytery in the Plateau Mont-Royal and includes a gallery, artists’ studios, a school, a hall events as well as a shop.

The activities of Livart are oriented on the desire to make art accessible to all, by being at the same time, a place of experimentation, dissemination and mediation, an innovative space where art becomes a vector of socialization and sharing between different generations.

Through its particular configuration and its versatile activities, Livart encourages proximity between artists and the public, by setting up a dynamic and varied program, composed of exhibitions, special evenings and training workshops.

To promote its mission and allow greater openness to its venue, Livart is launching a call for projects to enrich its 2024-2025 exhibition program, with a view to receiving applications from organizations or of collectives wishing to exhibit in his gallery.

Livart will thus welcome and distribute proposals in the visual arts, crafts, design and architecture, disciplines that are part of its vision.

It therefore invites artistic organizations and collectives to submit an application before September 18, 2023.

The heritage character of Livart lends itself well to multiple configurations and projects that also take this aspect into account will be favoured. Your request must include a pdf:

• A complete description of the organization or artistic collective (including a list of previous projects);
• A descriptive text of your approach and the planned project (3 pages maximum);
• The technical needs for the realization of the project;
• A brief press kit and other documents deemed relevant (optional);
• A preliminary exhibition plan taking into account the configuration of the Livart spaces (optional)– Gallery plan available here

Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be accepted and only the selected files will receive a response from Livart. Exhibition fees will be paid according to the scales recommended by CARFAC standards.
