La courte échelle
Lucy Maud Montgomery lost her mother when she was very young and was raised by very strict grandparents. As a child, she loved books and dreamed of becoming a writer. Even if her family thought it was not a serious occupation for a girl, Maud did not let herself be discouraged. She wrote several novels. Her most famous, Anne of Green Gables, is now read around the world.
