Lignes Fluides is a solo exhibition by Montreal artist Sébastien Gaudette. For this winter exhibition, the artist presents a series of works that propose to redefine the terms and limits of visual perspective, through an exploration of his research in drawing and sculpture.

For years, her artistic practice has revolved around the medium of paper, constantly creating links between sculpture and drawing. Paper has always been at the heart of her approach, serving as a link between these two media. But what would happen if he did away with paper? What would remain of the drawing? How would these lines take shape and become autonomous? The concept of the exhibition is based on a questioning of gesture, tracing and how to transpose it in a different way, in order to graphically create a dialogue while leaving an imprint.

Lignes Fluides is presented as part of Livart’s eighth anniversary celebrations on November 15, and continues until December 15, 2024. Further details will be announced in the autumn.
