Winter camp : Discover pop art! 4-9 ans
During this week, children discover the vibrant and audacious world of pop art, exploring the city that gave birth to it: New York. This artistic movement, which emerged in the 1950s, captured the urban and cultural energy of the metropolis, with its advertisements, comic strips and icons of mass consumption. Children will immerse themselves in this New York imaginary through iconic works by figures such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Pauline Boty and Nikki de Saint-Phalle, famous for their bold, colorful representations. They will have the opportunity to explore the different facets of pop art production, creating drawings, paintings, prints and collages inspired by New York’s urban and commercial aesthetic. Cultural mediations will be held to discover how this movement revolutionized modern art. Each day will feature a different activity, and children will be able to take home their dynamic creations from the workshops.
