During this week, children discover the artistic world of Kama La Mackerele, a multidisciplinary Mauritian-Canadian artist whose work addresses themes such as island sovereignty, transgender poetics and queer history. Inspired by Mackerele’s interdisciplinary approach, which combines writing, performance and community art, the children are invited to explore a variety of means of expression. It’s a project that opens them up to issues of identity and diversity.
