Georgia O’Keeffe – ages 4 to 9

During this week, children discover the artistic world of Georgia O’Keeffe, a pioneer of American modernism. They explore her distinctive style, which blends abstraction and figuration, through her depictions of giant flowers, desert landscapes and desert bones. Inspired by O’Keeffe, the children create large-scale works, playing with intense colors and organic shapes to represent elements of nature. This project allows them to explore the interplay between detail and immensity, while expressing themselves in their own personal way, in the manner of this great twentieth-century artist.
