The launch of the 16th edition of Pica Magazine is just around the corner! The event will take place on Tuesday, April 29 in the Livart gallery.

Pica Magazine is a visual communications platform initiated in 2009 at UQÀM’s École de design that promotes the hub of graphic design in Quebec and beyond. Published annually through the eyes of a new team, this tool invites readers to reflect on a given issue and respond to it graphically, visually or editorially. With its innovative and experimental approach, Pica is first and foremost a reference tool and a source of design inspiration. To propel its vision, Pica organizes parallel workshops, conferences and multidisciplinary events that extend the voices, opinions, criticisms and realities of local and international talent.

This year, the 16p0 team brings you a more ambitious magazine. It has been redesigned with a new format, a new binding and a focus on materiality – with a little surprise tucked inside.

For the first time, the magazine has been printed in Europe. It’s the fruit of in-depth reflection on the Pica journey. The way we interpreted Momentum led to the question: “What if we went even further?”
