For its winter art season, the Livart presents two solo exhibitions by artists Delphine Huguet and Franco Égalité. They offer you the opportunity of participating in a guided tour of the exhibitions et comment je plonge dans l’infini and Liminal/Minimal.
- Et comment je plonge dans l’infini by Delphine Huguet
In recent years, artist Delphine Huguet has become captivated by the vast, luminous skies of Quebec : skies whose deep blues, vaporous whites, and shifting grays recall the romantic landscapes of Caspar David Friedrich. Fascinated by the notion of the sublime and humanity’s confrontation with infinity, she has sought to capture these fleeting, abstract moments of the sky through photography.
For her project at the Livart, Huguet continues this contemplative and spatial approach, integrating digitally reworked photographs of Quebec’s skies into the architecture of the exhibition space. Printed on delicate silks and combined with mirror reflections, the installation invites visitors to lose themselves in an immersive dialogue between color, light, and infinity.
- Liminal/Minimal by Franco Égalité
In Liminal/Minimal, Franco Égalité explores the transitional space between the self and the external world : the liminal corridor where perception, emotion, and transformation meet. Each hue evokes an inner resonance, revealing the dynamic interplay between empathy and apathy, proximity and distance. Through a contemplative journey across the shifting atmospheres and tones of his paintings, viewers are invited to recognize and inhabit the threshold between what is known and what is yet to emerge. Égalité’s paintings ultimately illuminate the infinite possibilities of change as a profound and authentic expression of being.
