The Livart is constantly looking for interns to help with the center’s management. We are highly motivated and we expect the same passion on the part of our interns. We prioritize graduate students, but we also consider applications from students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate programs or have already graduated. This internship is unpaid.

Role description
  • Minimum of 15 hours per week, including at least one full day per week;
  • Help at opening ceremonies that take place every two weeks on Thursdays;
  • Help installing and deinstalling exhibitions (hooking and unhooking works of art, lighting design, storage of works);
  • Assist in the operations of the gallery; organizing exhibitions, organizing various events, visitor reception, etc. ;
  • Assist in the operation of the art school; management of students, faculty management, material management;
  • Perform basic administration tasks;
  • Help staff to improve social networking in order to publicize the events of The Livart
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Art history, fine arts, management, museum studies or other related fields of study;
  • Excellent oral and written communication;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office;
  • A working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator is an asset;
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.);
  • Prior experience in an artistic setting is desirable but not required;
  • Ability to multitask and work in teams;
  • Academic credit may be awarded based on the approval of the student’s educational institution (students must consult their academic advisor for information on how to receive credit).
