    Sarah Boutin

Sarah Boutin is an emerging artist living and working in Montreal. She completed a bachelor’s degree in visual and media arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is interested in the place of the body in experiences of transmission, trauma, reconciliation and memory. Her practice unfolds mainly through installations, video-performance and writing. The textual dimension of her work is for her a way of questioning the sources (etymologies) and what allows the passages (the acts of writing and telling). She also works with Myriam Simard-Parent to see how performative work in duet allows to explore the notions of support or abandonment that all relationships imply. Her visual work has been presented at Place des Arts (Montreal).
