Under the Fonds de recherche du Québec’s “Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025” program, Livart is seeking an intern for the art boutique component.

 

About us:

The Livart is an art center located in a former presbytery in the Plateau-Mont-Royal. It includes a gallery, artists’ studios, an art school, event rooms and a boutique. The Livart’s mission is to democratize accessibility to art and culture for all audiences by offering a friendly and vivacious space for art and creation that encourages exchange and nourishes the imagination. The internship is aimed at people who want to develop their knowledge of communication in the art and design world.

Supervised by the shop manager, you will support all tasks related to the management of the shop: communications, ice visitor reception, item market production, website management, order logistics, etc.

The art shop is a space dedicated to exhibiting and selling the work of local artists, designers, photographers and creatives from Montreal and Quebec.

Much of the work will be allocated to planning, promoting and executing the items market event. Fair of discoveries and encounters, the event has become a must-attend of the art center, showcasing the work of artists, artisans and designers from Montreal.

Examples of tasks:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the communication strategy
  • Write and distribute content for social networks, newsletters and communication media.
  • Support in logistics committees
  • Participate in the assembly and disassembly of the event

Requirements:

Be eligible for the programm « Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025 » of the Fonds de recherche du Québec

Profile required

– Student in communication, visual arts, art history, museum studies or other related fields of study;

– Excellent written and oral communication skills.

– Knowledge of office and design software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign) and social networks.

– Creativity, rigour and sense of organization.

– Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

– Experience in an artistic setting (a considerable asset).

Terms and conditions :

15h/week;

6 months from date of hire;

Ideal start date of the internship: around the 14th of March 2025;

The internship will be entirely on-site, at Livart;

In Montreal on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
