Internship offer in the family program
As part of the Fonds de recherche du Québec’s “Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025” program, Livart is looking for a family intern.
The Livart’s Le Livart is an art center located in a former presbytery on the Plateau-Mont-Royal. It includes a gallery, artists’ studios, an art school, event rooms and a boutique. is to democratize accessibility to art and culture for all audiences by offering a friendly and vivacious space for art and creation that encourages exchange and nourishes the imagination. As part of the internship, the intern participates in the creation of Livart’s social media communications. He or she will carry out tasks related to marketing strategy on social platforms and learn how to market art products via these channels. The internship is aimed at people who want to develop their knowledge of communication in the art and design world.
Supervised by the family progrm coordinator, you will assist with all tasks related to the management of the family section: communications, preparation of workshops, preparation of day camps, etc.
Through the day camp and art workshops, the intern will have the opportunity to create cultural mediations in line with the programming and may lead these workshops. The aim is to stimulate children with dynamic, formative teaching and mediation.
The family program component organizes annual day camp weeks for children aged 4 to 12 in order to share knowledge and transmit its values to children. The camp helps to reflect the cultural buzz of the art center space, where all kinds of activities and exhibitions are happening simultaneously with the camp.

Profile required
Someone with a keen interest in the arts and other related fields who wants to put their knowledge to good use. We’re looking for an intern who wants to invest in arts education and enjoys creating with children. A person who thrives on teamwork. Requirements:
To be eligible for the ” Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025 » du Fonds de recherche du Québec
Studies in visual art, art history, teaching, museum studies or other related fields of study;
Expertise with children;
Excellent oral communication skills;
Day camp or school experience;
Very good organizational and priority management skills;
Ability to work within a team, great adaptability, punctuality, and interpersonal skills;
Knowledge of office and design related software such as Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. (a considerable asset);
Experience in an artistic setting (a strong asset).
Conditions : 20h/week;6 months from date of hire;Ideal start date: between January 6 and 20, 2025;The internship will be entirely on-site, at Livart;In Montreal on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
