Internship in Production and Communication of Cultural Events

Between 15h and 20h of work in person per week until 23 December 2024 included. To be discussed as needed. Unpaid internship.
About us:
As part of the items market: winter 2024, one of our classic events, we offer an internship opportunity in production and communication for individuals wishing to develop their skills in the field of cultural events within the arts industry and Montreal design.
To mark the festive season, the Livart spaces will be animated in mid-December (dates to be announced) to host the sixth edition of the items market. Fair of discoveries and encounters, the event has become a must-attend of the art center, showcasing the work of artists, artisans and designers from Montreal.
Job description:
As a production and communication assistant, you will work closely with the head of the Livart art boutique to support the planning, promotion and execution of the event. Your main tasks will be:
- Production Assistance:
- Participate in the coordination of the various logistical aspects of the event.
- Assist in managing exhibitors, suppliers, partners and service providers.
- Contribute to the establishment and management of event spaces.
- Communication support:
- Participate in the development and implementation of the event’s communication strategy.
- Write and distribute content for social networks, newsletters and communication media.
- Assist in the creation of visual and textual supports (posters, flyers, etc.).
- Assist in managing media relations.
- Setup and logistics:
- Support in logistics committees
- Participate in the assembly and disassembly of the event
- Be present and support during the event
- Monitoring and evaluation:
- Collect feedback and data on the event to assess its impact and success.
- Contribute to the writing of post-event reports.
Profile required:
– Student in communication, event management, culture or similar field.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills.
– Knowledge of office and design software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign) and social networks.
– Creativity, rigour and sense of organization.
– Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– A first experience in the field of production or communication is a plus.
