Communications and Events Intern – Summer and Fall 2026
As part of the Fonds de recherche du Québec’s “Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2025-2026” program, Le Livart is looking for a communications and events intern.
About Le Livart
Located in a former presbytery on the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Le Livart is a multidisciplinary art center featuring a gallery, artists’ studios, an art school, event spaces and a boutique. Its mission: to democratize access to art and culture by creating a venue for dissemination and creation accessible to all.
The intern will participate in communications, promotion, and day-to-day operations related to events and space rentals. This experience will allow the intern to develop practical skills in event marketing, community management, communication, and event coordination.
Internship description
Under the supervision of the rental space manager, you will actively participate in daily operations related to space rentals and events, as well as communication and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Help promote Livart’s cultural and corporate events (exhibition openings, conferences, workshops, weddings, private parties);
- Write and publish content for the website, social media, newsletter, and press releases;
- Interact with the online audience and respond to inquiries about events and rentals;
- Develop and implement a strategy to promote rental spaces and event services on various platforms;
- Produce visuals (photos, videos, posters) to promote events and spaces for rent;
- Assist in communicating with potential partners and clients to maximize space reservations;
- Support the team in preparing for and during events to ensure they run smoothly;
- Provide general support for Livart’s activities related to events and rentals;
- Participate in research and projects aimed at improving the rental experience.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a university program eligible for the FRQ’s BSMP program (graduate or postgraduate) on a full-time basis in a research or research-creation program;
- Passion for art, culture, and events;
- Excellent communication skills (French and English);
- Interest in social media, digital marketing, and public relations;
- Creativity, aesthetic sense, and independence;
- Training in communications, marketing, event management or related field (an asset).
Details
- 20h/week.
- Duration: 6 months from date of hire.
- Ideal start date: May 15.
- On-site internship at Livart (Plateau-Mont-Royal, Montreal).
- Rémunération dépendante des aides reçues dans le cadre de la Bourse BSMP.
