As part of the Fonds de recherche du Québec’s “Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025” program, Le Livart is looking for a communications intern

The Livart is an art center located in a former presbytery in the Plateau-Mont-Royal. It includes a gallery, artists’ studios, an art school, event rooms and a boutique. The Livart’s mission is to democratize accessibility to art and culture for all audiences by offering a friendly and vivacious space for art and creation that encourages exchange and nourishes the imagination. As part of the internship, the intern participates in the creation of Livart’s social media communications. He or she will carry out tasks related to marketing strategy on social platforms and learn how to market art products via these channels. The internship is aimed at people who want to develop their knowledge of communication in the art and design world.

 

Internship description:

Supervised by the communications manager, you will accompany all tasks related to communications within Livart: social networks, website, newsletter, press release…

Responsibilities:

  • Visual content creation: You will participate in the production of visual content, including photos and videos, in accordance with our brand guidelines.
  • Editorial planning: Under the supervision of our Communications Manager, you will collaborate on the development of a publication calendar to ensure consistent distribution of our content.
  • Marketing strategy: You will assist in the implementation of marketing strategies on social networks to promote our artistic activities and products.
  • Community management: You will interact with our online community, responding to comments and messages, and ensuring a positive atmosphere on our social platforms.
  • Translation: You will translate texts from French into English for our website and other media, extending our reach to an English-speaking audience.
  • Communication: You’ll help write press releases for our website, social networks and newsletter, keeping our audience up to date with the latest news and events.
  • Special project: You will actively contribute to the realization of a socio-financing campaign in connection with our art education activities.
  • Participation in events: You’ll take part in openings and events organized by Livart, contributing to the cultural life of our center.
  • Related tasks: You may be required to collaborate on other projects and support various activities related to the gallery and cultural mediation.

 

Requirements:

Eligibility for the Fonds de recherche du Québec’s “Bourse pour stage en milieu de pratique (BSMP) – 2024-2025” program.

Passion for art and culture;

Interest in communications and social media;

Excellent communication skills in French and English;

Creativity and aesthetic sense;

Team spirit and ability to work independently;

Training in marketing, communications, design or related field (an asset).

 

Terms and conditions :

15h to 20h/week;

6 months from date of hire;

Ideal start date: between July 1 and 15;

The internship will be entirely on-site, at Livart;

In Montreal on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
