During this week, the children will discover the world of Berthe Morisot. Co-founder of the Impressionist art movement with Claude Monet, this French artist was able to integrate herself into the mainly male-dominated 19th century art world. Children will discover gouache and watercolor painting techniques in order to create typically impressionist works where color and the outdoors will be put forward. Cultural mediations will bring a feminist approach adapted to children in order to depict the artistic career of a woman of that time. The week will conclude with a vernissage that will showcase the works created during the workshops.
