During this week, children will discover the world of Piet Mondrian. This Dutch artist was one of the pioneers of abstraction in the United States in the early 20th century. Children will have the chance to discover Mondrian’s diverse artistic approach through figurative and abstract art workshops. Accompanied by cultural mediators, children will learn the processes of abstract art and how this artist progressed towards this style. They will be introduced to the technique of hard edge to create colorful works. The week will conclude with a vernissage that will showcase the works created during the workshops.
