Hilma Af Klint – Sweden

During this week, children will be introduced to the enigmatic and moving art of Swedish artist Hilma Af Klint. This pioneering painter of abstract art who worked with none other than Vassily Kandinsky, “the founding father” of the concept of abstraction, deserves to be known for her feminist, socially engaged and contemporary art. The artistic bequest of Hilma Af Klint is characterized by the desire to sublimate the advent of modern science and the intrinsic beauty of nature. During this week children will be immersed in the little-known culture of Sweden and northern Europe.
