During this week, the children will discover the universe of Baya Mahieddine. This self-taught artist gained fame at a very young age when she caught the attention of well-known artists like Pablo Picasso and André Breton. Children will be immersed in the colorful surrealist world of the Algerian artist. They will explore gouache projects and sculptures in the style of Mahieddine’s pottery. Cultural mediations will focus on Algerian and North African art. The week will conclude with a vernissage that will showcase the works created during the workshops.
