Born and living in Montreal, Alice Cloutier-Lachance is an emerging photographer currently completing a BFA in photography at Concordia University. After leaving Quebec for four years, her photographic practice is inspired by a central theme in her own life: the notion of space and its influence on the individual, to the cohabitation of humans with their environment.

The representation of youth, spatiality and transitions are central themes in Alice Cloutier-Lachance’s practice. Working within the framework of film photography, the lens of her camera gives her the ability to capture the authenticity of the moment and its atmosphere, responding to the organic and intimate essence of the materiality of film.
